Resin bonded and resin bound surfaces look great inside or outside. A resin bonded or resin bound driveway or patio looks stunning, is hard wearing and long lasting, it can be swept, and complements any style of architecture. The basic premise of resin surfaces is that the aggregate/gravel is stuck to the hard surface using a transparent or coloured resin.

Whats the difference between resin bonded and resin bound?

Resin bonded gravel surfaces consist of a concrete or tarmac base. The resin is applied over the base then the gravel or other aggregate is sprayed onto the resin and left to set.

Resin bound surfaces also have a concrete or tarmac base. The difference is that the aggregate is mixed with the resin and this mixture is then troweled onto the base. The resin used for resin bound surfaces can be dyed almost any colour which means that it is fantastic for creating decorative mosaic-type features in outdoor paving and floors.
